A new project approaches: Bettering Youth
This is the first post in a regular series of blogs, speaking about our clients and the work we do with them. This week, we’re so excited to introduce you to a new website build project and the amazing Sarah-Lynn of Bettering Youth.
We first met Sarah-Lynn in 2019 on a VERY cold morning, all ready for her first networking meeting. Since then we’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Sarah-Lynn and learning all about her multiple business ventures.
So without further ado…
What you need to know about Bettering Youth!
Bettering Youth is a project which speaks to all of us at Avidmode. We love to work with clients who have a huge passion for their work and really want to help others – and that fits Sarah-Lynn to a T. The business mixes tuition and mental well being practices that help give kids the tools they need to succeed throughout their school years and into adulthood.
It’s obvious that we all want our kids to succeed. Bettering Youth is right here to help it’s clients improve their growth mindset, to become more emotionally aware and to build confidence. Sarah-Lynn builds bespoke programmes for her clients, with their needs and goals in mind.
Sarah-Lynn’s passion comes from her background as a primary school teacher, her childhood experiences of being the “new kid” eleven times before the age of ten and being the caretaker for her mother at a young age. Through all of this she grew a passion for helping others and thus Bettering Youth was born.
What does the project look like?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we’ve seen a rise in zoom meetings, virtual networking sessions and all other kinds of work being done online – this is no different in Sarah-Lynn’s business. To adapt to this, all tuition is being done virtually at the moment and this has given Bettering Youth the opportunity to expand it’s reach nationally.
The Bettering Youth website project is going through a staged approach. The first stage has been working on getting to know who Sarah-Lynn’s clients are and what they want from the website, we did our usual design questionnaire with Sarah and she got top marks for filling it in!
We’ve now onto the branding and design stage, we’re knee deep in logos – colors and fonts at the moment and the page designs are coming along really well!
The most important factor on this project will be making the website a resource for children and their parents, this plays a huge part in the way we’ve structured the pages and gives us a great goal to aim for.
We can’t wait to delve into the next stages and eventually reveal the final version of the website once it’s completed so keep your eyes open for that!
